Mask foreground goldenrod and light grasses. |

Start with grey wash. Make sure you mix enough color for whole wall, if not no worries if the color varies. You can then splatter and/or add some darker tones while it is wet. It adds more interest. Then begin with yellow ochre wash on bottom reeds. |

Next I added greens. |

Then I began o add color to the door. |

Now comes a little detail around the door. I just love the pattern of the rotting wood. |

After adding a second layer of maskon the grasses and leaves, it's time to put in a darker layer of color. |

I then continued with the door details and began to add some knots of wood and the fun little diamond hole in the wall. |
